The Latin American Studies minor provides students with an understanding of the many facets of Latin America including its literature and history, society and culture, economics and politics, languages, arts, humanities, and environment. Students are also given the opportunity to study the Latino experience in the United States, and delve into global issues that impact indigenous and ethnically diverse communities of Latin America, i.e., migration, displacement and exile.
